A report by the UK government revealed that 39% of businesses experienced a cyber attack in 2022.
With more companies doing business online than ever before, having sound cybersecurity systems and processes in place is becoming the cornerstone of responsible business practice.
Being ‘from the internet’ ourselves, our Cyber Essentials Plus certification is a mark of our commitment to a safe, more secure future online.
A government-backed scheme developed and operated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Cyber Essentials is considered the best first step to a more secure network, protecting businesses from 80% of basic cyber security breaches.
Cyber Essentials Plus is a more stringent test of an organisation's cybersecurity measures, assessing its ability to protect systems and data from hacking, phishing, and other more sophisticated cyber threats.
To get our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, third party technical verification had to be conducted to ensure we met the full requirements of the five basic control areas:
This technical assessment was conducted by URM Consulting Services and involved a thorough vulnerability scan to test the security of our systems and processes.
URM’s assessor commented:
“Tech City Teams demonstrates a strong commitment to security, following a well-defined approach with robust policies and effective implementation strategies”.
Following our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, we’re now listed on a directory of certified organisations operated by IASME and the NCSC.
🔒 This certification helps reduce the risk of data breaches and potential damage to both us and our clients
🔒 Clients can use our knowledge to help secure their own systems and implement effective security measures
🔒 The certification process keeps cybersecurity awareness high throughout Tech City Teams, reinforcing a culture of security and vigilance at every level
We’re thrilled to be able to hold our cyber security systems and processes to the same excellent standard as other areas of Tech City Teams, from development practices to team culture.
So, what can we get right for you?
